Belford "Butch" E. Hook

Belford “Butch” Eldon Hook, age 72 of Harpster, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Marion General Hospital.

Butch was born on December 8, 1949 to the late Belford and Bonnie (Conley) Hook in Delaware, Ohio.  On October 8, 1972, he married Evelyn Erwin.

Butch served our country in the United States Marines Corps during the Vietnam War.  He retired as a Tool and Die Maker for Whirlpool Corporation after working for 35 years.  Butch will truly be missed by family and friends.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.

Those who will cherish his memories include his wife of 49 years, Evelyn Hook of Harpster, Ohio; his daughters: Shannon (David) Sayre of Harpster, Ohio and Jodi Hook of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; his grandchildren: Bridget Oller, Dillan Oller and Wyatt Sherman and his great granddaughter, Roselynn Marquez.

Friends and family may come to honor Butch’s life on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 3pm to 5pm at the Boyd Funeral Home.  A funeral service will start at 5pm at the funeral home with Tom Beckel officiating.  Donations may be given to the: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Hook family.
