James W. Timmons Jr.

     James W. Timmons Jr., age 68, of Green Camp, Ohio went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 2:25 AM from his home. He was born in Marion, Ohio on February 9, 1954 to the late James W. and Minnie E. (Rinnert) Timmons. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and went on to serve in the National Guard. Throughout his working life he was a self-employed carpenter.  Jim was a devoted Christian and a exceptional musician. He truly enjoyed coaching kids of all ages and truly believed in putting a smile on someone’s face because he felt “you never know what they may be going through”. 

     Jim is survived by a son, Jon Timmons of Green Camp, OH., two daughters, Shannon Hawkins of Marion, OH. & Sarah Timmons of Green Camp, OH., a sister, Debbie Timmons-Clark of Marion, OH., seven grandchildren, Alexis, Mercedes, Jayden, Brielle, Skylar, Cade, & Braxtyn and one great granddaughter, Livia.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Friday, February 3, 2023, from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM.  A graveside service with Pastor Willis Moe officiating will be held in the Green Camp Cemetery beginning at 1:30 PM Friday. A wake will be held following the service with the location to be announced. Contributions may be made to the family in care of the Boyd Funeral Home.
