Jerry L. Lang, age 76 of Prospect, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on March 7, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and on December 24, 1998, he married the love of his life, Mardee (Watkins).
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and he spent over 30 years working for PPG. He was a member of Marion Christian Center for 30 years, and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing Poker, Euchre, and other card games, and square dancing, as well as traveling and going on cruises. In his younger years, he also enjoyed rabbit hunting.
Jerry was known as a people person, able to talk to anyone about anything, and he truly enjoyed being social, as well as spending time with his grandkids. He never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his wife Mardee Lang; his daughters Toni Lang, Tammy (Alex) Kominek, and Angie Dietz; his step-daughter Marla (Jay) Manley; his step-sons Chuck (BJ) Hashman and Robert Evans; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Grace Lang, who raised him, and his step-son Matthew Morrison.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will follow at 12 pm at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
