Laurie A. (Brewer) Al-Salameh

Laurie Ann (Brewer) Al-Salameh, age 56 of Marion, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Marion General Hospital. She was born on November 13, 1965 in Bucyrus to Sherry (Spence) and the late Charles Brewer.

Laurie worked as an LPN for Delaware Court for 10 years, continuing in the field she loved for as long as she could after being diagnosed with RA. She was an artsy soul who enjoyed knitting and crocheting, puzzles, and gardening, as well as going to the movies and traveling. Outgoing and friendly, she enjoyed talks with her friends and neighbors, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her family and pets. She was known for always put-together with her hair and makeup perfectly done.

She was truly loved and loving, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her mother Sherry Black; her step-father Thomas (Nancy) Diven; her sisters Virginia (Jason) Deem, Chris Brewer, and Cassandra Brewer; her step-siblings Ian Diven, Zachary Diven, and Megan Diven; her nieces and nephews Kristal (Jonathan), Sam (Ryan), Zack, Noah, Garrick, Gavin, and Tommy; her great-nephew Recker; and her sister-in-law Dawn Brewer.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Brewer and her brother Chuck Brewer.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 12 pm to 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place immediately following at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery.
