Richard "Timothy" Snare

Richard “Timothy” Snare, 65, of Marion, OH passed away at the Prestige Gardens and Nursing Home on Sunday 19, 2022. Tim was born to the late Richard Wayne Snare and Melba Jean Leeper on June 22, 1956, in Marion. He would go on to marry his loving wife, Karen, in Marion in 1975.

Tim was a truck driver for most of his work career and spent 25 years with Ryder and Signal. He received numerous safe driving awards, including the 1-million-mile safe driving award. Besides trucking, he was a car guy and loved to work on them. His favorite car was Chevrolet and Pontiac. He also enjoyed drag racing. Tim was a sports fan as well, he liked to watch the Cleveland Browns and the OSU Buckeye Football.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, son, Timothy “Mike” (Tina) Snare of NC, daughter, Tiffany (Wendy) Michele Snare of Marysville, brother, Gregg Snare of Marion, sister, Margaret “Maggie” Canterbury of Marion, grandchildren; Cody, Nickolas, Brandon, Diem, and Ava.

The Snare family would like to invite Tim’s family and friends for visitation hours at the Boyd Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022. The funeral service will also be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. There will be an interment service at the Marion Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
