Ruby L. Jones

Ruby L. Jones, age 71, of Marion passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 2:31 AM in the Marion General Hospital. She was born in Tallulah, Louisiana on January 1, 1950 to the late John Brown Jr. and Lovell (Myles) Brown.  Ruby is a member of the Christ Missionary Baptist Church and was employed as a hostess/cook at the Community Nursing Home and Bob Evans Restaurant. She is survived by her longtime companion; Allen Jones Sr., a son; Allen Jones Jr. of Marion, OH., 2 daughters; Lorraine Brown & Meyon Jones-McGhee both of Marion, OH., 3 brothers; Willie (Carmela) Brown of Marion, OH., James Brown of Mansfield, OH., & David Brown of Marion, OH., 4 sisters; Alice (Don) Boler, Linda Williams, Mary Brown, & LaVonne Brown all of Marion, OH., 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by a daughter; Deletra Rouse, a grandchild, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. Friends may call at the Christ Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 11:00 AM until service time at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Marvin Collier will conduct the service with burial to follow in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Donations in Ruby's name may be made to the American Heart Association.
