Albert (Butch) Donald Steinman, Jr, 82, of Nevada, OH, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home with his loving companion Macey by his side. Butch was born to his late parents, Albert Donald Steinman, Sr. and Phoebe A. Coyer, in Zanesville, OH on April 15, 1943.
Butch Married the love of his life Velma whom he spent his whole life with. Butch and Velma were married a wonderful 62 years.
In Butch’s younger years he worked for the Lust Brother’s Farms for 25 years. His last job before retiring was at the North Central Corrections Institute for 13 years. Albert was a man of faith and avidly attended the Harpster United Methodist Church. As a man of conviction and perseverance, he also became a 32nd degree Mason in Toledo, OH. Later on, he joined the Blue Lodge in Upper Sandusky. Even with all his commitments, he always put his wife and family first. He loved them dearly and enjoyed being the family glue that held everyone together and organized.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John D. Steinman and Robert L. Steinman, his sisters, Margaret Wilkson and Donna E. Steinman.
Left to continue his legacy are his wife Velma, his son, John David (Ame) Steinman, his grandchildren, Joshua James Steinman of Nevada, Jenna Marie (Kyle) Jans Of MN, and Paige Nichole (Jordan) DeWall of MN , Hunter (Maggie) Williams of Marysville, Daltin (Taylor) Williams of DeGraff, 11 great grandchildren.
The Steinman family would like to invite Butch’s loved ones and friends to join them for a graveside service at the Grand Prairie Cemetery on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 11 a.m. Pastor Steve Sturgeon will be officiating the service.
