Ardeth Ann Fetter, age 88 of Marion, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at her home, with her loving family by her side. On November 10, 1933, she was born in Marion to the late William E. and Nellie (Wooley) Walker, and on July 23, 1955, she married her beloved husband Edward J. Fetter.
Ardeth worked at GTE until her retirement in 1989 and then at Emanuel Lutheran Church Daycare from 1994 to 2012, and she’s been a member of the church itself since 1955. She was a former hospice volunteer, and she enjoyed reading, music, and bible study. She was a member of the Marion Christian Women After 5 Club, Wednesday Bible Study for 16 years, and Bible Study Fellowship for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband Ed Fetter; her children Doug (Natalie) Fetter, Daniel Fetter, and David (Kim) Fetter; her grandchildren Amanda (Matt) James, Samantha (Jason) Fetter, Zachary Fetter, and Amber Fetter; and her great-grandchildren Savanna, Isaiah, and Roselie.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Nellie Walker and her siblings William Walker, Rev. Edward Walker, Glenna Hartman, and Martha Marshall.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11 am at the Marion Cemetery. After the graveside services, the family would like to invite friends and family back to the Dayspring Wesleyan Church, 2431 Marion-Mt Gilead Rd., for a celebration of her life.
