Ashton Gabriel Pickens

Ashton Gabriel Pickens, age 21, of Marion, passed away at his home on April 15, 2026. Ashton was born in St. Mary’s, Georgia to Willard and Angela (Strickland) Pickens on March 20, 2005. Ashton was working at Yachiyo in Marion at the time of his passing.

Ashton loved to play video games and hang out with his friends. He also loved watching anime with Dragon Ball Z being his favorite. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and car stereo equipment. When he got the chance, he loved to go fishing, and his love of fish extended to having a fish aquarium.

Left to cherish the memory of Ashton are his parents, Angela and Willard Pickens Jr., brother, Ethan Pickens, sister, Kelsi Pickens, aunt, Jasmine (Elias) Mendez, uncle Sean Pickens, nephew, Lukah Pickens, cousin Leo Pickens and grandparents, Janice and Willard Pickens Sr., JD (Judy) Strickland, and Sara (Stanley) Cade.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation of Ashton on Tuesday, April 28th at the Boyd Funeral Home from 5pm until 7pm with Pastor Joe Harrison giving the closing prayer at 7pm. The family has asked that those that wish to donate, donate to the cost of the funeral expenses.
