Bernice J. Balch

Bernice Jean Balch, age 86 of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home. On November 11, 1935, she was born in Colton, Ohio, to the late Albert and Viola Marie (Hall) Fair, and on November 7, 1953, she married her loving husband, Walter L. Balch, who passed away in 2008.

Bernice was known as a loving, caring, and motherly woman who was always ready to help anyone who needed it. She was a member of Genesis Church.

She is survived by her sister Ruth (Tom) Smith; her sister-in-law Mary Sair; her stepdaughter Linda Douglas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; good friends Tim and Bobby Barber; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter; her parents Albert and Viola; her brothers Howard, Junior, Donnie, and Bob; and her sisters Alberta, Marcena, Lucille, and Shirley.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10 am at Marion Cemetery with burial to follow.
