Bettie Syck, age 80, of Marion, passed away on October 30, 2025, at her home. Bettie was born in Pikeville, Ky to the late Donithan and Ersa (Gross) Syck. Betty graduated from High School and married the love of her life the late Quinton Syck on May 23, 1966.
Bettie volunteered at the TV 39 Aiken Center where she was a founding board member. She was also a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. Bettie was crafty, and known for her buckeye necklaces, and other Ohio state crafts, and her delicious candy. Bettie was also a strong-willed woman that spoke her mind and loved her family.
Left to cherish the memory of Bettie are daughters, Rachael Bird and Kim Cranston, son Brian (Marcia) Syck, siblings, James, Freddie, Nellie, and Kathy, Grandchildren, Ashley Kendrick, Brittany (Kain) Cranston, Katelyn (Anthony) Ferguson, Landon Syck, Ray (Lena) Shilling, Vada Paterson, Ashlee (Terry) Carsey. Great grandchildren Carson Bird, Connor Ferguson, Serenity Cranston, Kylie Dunno, Kalialah Hopkins, Octavia Cranston, Emmett Carsey, Alayna Carsey, Airanna Carsey.
Bettie was preceded in death by both her parents, loving husband, and siblings Rolland, Floyd, Clell, Willard and Lorraine.
