Betty Jane (Gibbs) Rollison, age 95, of Marion, passed away on March 2, 2026, at the Meadows of Marion. Betty was born on September 17, 1930, in Ashley, OH., to the late Jacob Ernest, and Clara Belle (Hedge) Gibbs. On Oct 22, 1946, in Greenup, KY., Betty would marry the love of her life Gale “Gayle” Edwin Rollison, and the two would be married until his passing on Jan 17, 2014.
Betty worked as a candler at Hoch's Egg Farm and later in the soil laboratory at NaChurs where she liked treating her coworkers to homemade cookies. When living at home, she enjoyed watching out the front window for deer and birds, specifically cardinals. Before her health prevented her from being outside, she usually had a garden raising strawberries, tomatoes, corn, potatoes and flowers such as roses, iris and peonies. Betty was a homebody. She enjoyed making sure that her family was taken care of. She enjoyed the Marion Cadet Drum Bugle Corps, OSU basketball, attending navy reunions with her husband and attending Trinity Baptist church.
Left to Cherish the memory of Betty are her son, Shane Michael (Barbara), Rollison, daughter, Joy Sheppard, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by, parents, husband, sons, Terry L. and Rex A. Rollison, brothers, James and Ralph E. Gibbs, and sisters Lillian McConnell and Rosemary Zinn.
