Billie R. Phillips, Sr.

Billie R. Phillips, Sr., 91, of Marion, Ohio, passed away at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH on March 28, 2021.  He was born March 11, 1930, in Meigs County, Ohio, to the late Roy and Emma (Shenfield) Phillips.

Billie lived a full life. He served in the U.S. Navy in his younger years and was a past member of the Mason Lodge #70, here in Marion. For work, he ran his own plumbing, heating, and air conditioning business until he retired. He was a member of Carpenter’s Local Union. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Billie Phillips, Jr., his brothers; Clyde, Charles, Jim, and Tom Phillips, his sisters; Evelyn, Beatrice, Helen, Wanda, Martha, and Norma Phillips.

Billie is survived in death by his daughters; Peggy (Michael) Sherman, and Marla Arthur, both of Marion, OH, brother; Webb Phillips, of Bucyrus, OH, his daughter-in-law; Carolyn Phillips, of Daytona, FL, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

The interment service will be held at a later date at the Marion Cemetery. in lieu of flowers Memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Gilead State park friends of the park.
