Brenda Burt

Brenda C. Burt, age 78 of Marion, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. On July 10, 1945, she was born in West Virginia to the late Edrie and Delma Hollingsworth, and on January 25, 1963, she married the love of her life, Alexander Burt. They spent 61 beautiful years together.

Brenda worked as head cook at Marion City Schools for 27 years. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and cooking, and she truly loved working with children.

She is survived by her husband Alexander Burt; her son John (June) Burt; her daughter Lisa Burt; and her granddaughter Reese Burt.

Family and friends may gather to honor Brenda’s memory on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home.
