Brenda Ann Jones

Brenda Ann Jones, born February 7, 1944, in Big Sandy, WV, to Ida Mae Jones and James Jones. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family Friday, October 24, 2025.

Brenda was a devout Christian who loved her church family at Compassion Christian in Delaware, OH. Praising and singing to the Lord was her favorite thing to do. She loved bowling, painting, and doing crafts. Above all, she loved singing and spending quality time with her family and loved ones. She loved her husband, Charles Kelly, very much and they were married on April 10, 1970.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her son, David Eric Furniss.

Brenda is survived by her children, John (Kim) Piatt, Tammy (Ben) Acker, Angela (Dan) Bird, Lorrie (Dolever) Pletcher, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The Jones family would like to invite all who knew Brenda to the Boyd Funeral Home for calling hours on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service will be right after calling hours. There will be an interment service at the Grand Prairie Cemetery. Pastor Al Perry will be officiating all services. The Family will be hosting a luncheon following the burial at Compassion Christian Church, 41 Firestone Dr. Delaware, OH 43015. In lieu of flowers donations can be made out to the family. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Jones family in their time of need.
