Carol Kelley

Carol Sue Kelley, age 71 of Marion, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Marion General Hospital. On October 16, 1950, she was born in Marion to the late Fred and Elnora(Christian) Wilson, and on November 18, 1968, she married the love of her life, James Woodrow Kelley, Sr., who preceded her in death in July of 2021.

Carol worked as a caregiver for RHAM for 15 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, who will always remember the stories she made up for them about a dog named Blue.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Kelley-Dunn and Jackie Kelley of Marion; her sons James Woodrow Kelley, Jr., and Donald Kelley of Marion; her sisters Connie Simmons of Marion and Sheila (Larry) Beck of New Washington, Ohio; her brother Buddy (Becky) Wilson of Marion; four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents Fred and Elnora, and her sisters Penny McCarty, Sharon Craft, and Virginia Wilson.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Waldo Cemetery.
