Obituary
Catherine Louise Meade, age 79 of Marion, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Presidential Post Acute. She was born on July 1, 1944 in Marion to the late Woodrow and Margaret (Culp) Flowers.
Catherine worked as a mail clerk for several years. She fondly remembered receiving a first place award for public speaking, and she was an avid Buckeyes fan. She loved her church family and she loved Jesus. She was an American through and through, loving everything red, white, and blue.
She is survived by her daughters Gracie (Matthew) Hamm, Sr., Linda (Robert) Large, Sr., Sherri Banks, and Carolyn Arble; her sisters Carol Flowers and Naomi F. Ramey; 8 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow and Margaret Flowers, her brothers Charles and Donald Flowers, her sister Donna Meade, and her son-in-law Tommy Banks.
Family and friends may come to honor Catherine’s memory on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10 am to 11 am. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 am at LaRue Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ in Christian Union, 1709 Bellefontaine Ave., Marion.
