Cheryl Kay Honaker

Cheryl Kay Honaker, age 77 of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Marion General Hospital. On March 22, 1944, she was born in Delta, Ohio, to the late Harold Finney and Thelma (Grubbs) Winn, and on August 17, 1959, she married her late husband, Charles L. Honaker.

Cheryl was a lifelong homemaker and a great mother and grandmother. She loved birdwatching, and she had birdhouses and bird feeders everywhere. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, and she spent a lot of time there over the years.

She is survived by her daughter Kim Wilemon; her sons Scott Honaker and Ryan Honaker; her sister Joanne Thornton; her brother Donald Finney; her grandchildren Jason, Jeremy, Jessica, and Hannah Honaker and Jared, Jenna, Jordan, and James Wilemon; and her great-grandchildren Jackson, William, Evie, Isaac, Trevor, and Noah.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles L. Honaker and her parents Harold and Thelma.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Boyd Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
