Christa Gayle (Morris) Adams

Christa Gayle (Morris) Adams, age 66, of LaRue, OH., passed away on January 2, 2026, at the Marion General Hospital. Christa was born in Marion, OH., to the late James and Pearl (Crabtree) Morris, on May 7, 1959. On April 27, 1990, Christa married Jon Adams and the two would remain together until her passing.

Christa loved to be outdoors. Her favorite thing to do was to go camping with family at the Mohican State Park. She loved this campground in particular because she was able to canoe, tube, and fish. Her love of fishing was inherited from her father. The two of them would bass fish together whenever they had the opportunity prior to his passing. She also loved crafting. She would make wreaths and various other trinkets for craft shows and her family/friends.

Left to cherish the memory of Christa are; Husband Jon Adams, son, James (Lori) Rowland, (though she was called Mom by many) brother, Benny (Diana) Morris, sisters, Vickie (Steve) Rowe, and Carla (Chuck) Grau, grandchildren, Samantha (Ethan) Pope, Hayden (Sydnee) Rees, great-grandchildren, Owen Pope, Quinn Pope, Sullivan Rees and Maxine Rees, and nieces, Jodi (Tracy) Smith, Jennifer (Jon) Morris, Jill (Doug) Rowland, Julie (Bryan) Burris, Jana (Rob) Quart, Janelle (Jim) Vance, friend Becky Felty, as well as many other friends.

Christa was preceded in death by her Parents and great-grandchild, Knox Pope.

Friends and Family are invited to attend the memorial gathering of Christa on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5pm until 7pm. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Christa Gayle Adams in their time of mourning.
