Cindy Lynn McLaughlin, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2025. She was born to Charles and Sandra (Thomas) Wilfong in May of 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. She went on to graduate high school before life took her on further adventures. She married the love of her life, David McLaughlin, in 1997 and they had many years full of love together before her passing. Cindy had a love for the outdoors that was hard to match, if she wasn’t relaxing in her pool then she could be found out on the water boating or fishing. She was an avid reader and could be found with her nose in a book often. She had a deep love for her family, especially her grandson. She always had a furry companion in her home, as her home was never complete without the sound of pawprints on the floor. Her laugh was infectious, she was so outgoing with a personality that was electric and would light up a room. She will be very dearly missed by those who knew her.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sandra.
She leaves behind her husband, David McLaughlin, her son, Greg (April) Merda, her sisters, Debbie (Ronnie) Dunn and Holly Baumgartner, her grandson, Case Merda, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 1 to 3 pm, with a memorial service starting at 3 pm.
The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to help the McLaughlin family in their time of need.
