Curtis “Coach Curt” Allen Easterday

March 31, 1970 – October 15, 2025 Curtis “Coach Curt” Allen Easterday, age 55, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on October 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 31, 1970, in Marion, to Samuel Warren Easterday and Vicki Lynn Difede.

Curt was a proud Marion native who worked as a freelancer for many years, known for his jokes, loving heart and friendly spirit. However, his greatest joy came from the time he spent coaching. Affectionately known throughout the community as Coach Curt, he dedicated countless years to Marion Midget Football, shaping not only young athletes but also their character, teamwork, and confidence. His influence on the field and in the lives of so many will never be forgotten. Curt’s greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his parents, Sam (Nina) Easterday and Vicki (Kevin) Difede; his children, Chase Easterday, Tyler Easterday, and Megan (Drew) Brown; his siblings, James Easterday, Sam (Laura) Easterday, Clayton Holycross, Chris (Jessica) Holycross, and Kristin (Bobby) Edens; and his beloved grandchildren, T.J. Easterday, Camden Ralph, Paxton Ralph, Ayden Brown, and Jaelynne Brown. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, a very special friend Catrina Holsinger, and other friends who will forever hold his memory close.

The Easterday family invites all who knew and loved Curt to gather for calling hours on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Marion. A memorial lunch will follow on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the 162 Legion. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any donations be made toward the cost of Curt’s funeral expenses, in honor of the man who gave so much of himself to others.
