Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Conte

Cynthia “Cyndi” Louise Conte (Wagner), passed away on December 27, 2025, in the care of the Marion Valley Post Acute assisted living center, here in Marion, OH. On December 12, 1954, Cyndi was born to her late parents, Louise Wagner and Carole Murphy, in Coldwater, OH. Cyndi would go on to meet a young man , John Michael Conte, while shopping at the local grocery store where he  worked. They would end up spending 51 and a half loving years together.

Cyndi enjoyed both her 5 decade Bible education activity and pre-school teaching for 12 years. She was a woman of faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses . In her free time, she loved to be in her “re-charge space”  backyard growing flowers and gardening, while listening to jazz and oldies. In traveling , frequently she enjoyed the Cherokee National Forest. She also dearly loved her family and all of her “little kids”. Beyond he role as mother, Cyndi was a magnet for children, who loved to be around her. More than anything else, Cyndi was a woman who cherished the small things in life. Her own smile and zeal for life was infectious, and lit any room with more smiles from those who found her humble, approachable, and caring.

Cyndi is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to continue her legacy are her loving husband, J. Michael Conte, Sr., of Marion, OH, son, J. Michael Conte, Jr.(Emily) of Studio City CA, brothers; Larry (Christine) Wagner of Cleveland OH, Greg (Jackie) Wagner of Tennessee, Kevin Wagner of Xenia OH, and James (Gillian) Wagner, her sisters, Darla (Dave) Muehlman of Centerville, OH and Kim (Ted) Rolf, and her granddaughter, Eden Conte.

The Conte family will be having a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Marion, OH, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Cyndi’s honor. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Conte family in their time of need.
