Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Mueller (Gunerman), 89, passed away peacefully at the Meadows of Marion on August 15, 2025. Cindy was born on December 24, 1935 in New York City to Milton Gunerman and Francis Beckland. Karl Mueller (Lt Cdr retired Navy) would ask for her hand in marriage in 1957 in New York City. The love of her life sadly passed on April 20, 2021.
Cindy was a gentle and proper woman with a great sense of humor. In her younger years, she graduated from Pratt Institute in New York City, earning a commercial arts bachelor’s degree. Cindy and her husband were well traveled and visited many locations and enjoyed many cultures. Cindy had many artistic endeavors and was a member of Artisan’s Guild. She actively volunteered in her community.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Richard T. Mueller.
Her legacy is left to be cherished with her son, Andy (Mila) Mueller (MSgt USAF retired), daughter, Wendy (Brian) Deffenbaugh, grandchildren, Chelsea Deffenbaugh, and Joshua Lee Deffenbaugh, and best friend Sheila Martin.
Cindy’s family would like to invite her loved ones and friends for calling hours at Boyd Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 6PM to 8PM there will be a memorial service the following day on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2 PM, brief calling hours will be starting at 12:30 PM. Rev. Jim Stauffer will be officiating the service. Cindy's wishes were for donations to be made to charities, Doctor’s Without Boarders and/or to Heifer International.
