Dakota William Roberts

Dakota “Koda” William Roberts, age 30, passed away on January 19, 2025, in Bucyrus, Ohio. He was born January 22, 1994, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Nikki (Roberts)
Smothers.

Dakota was born and raised in Indiana. He moved to Ohio in 2015 to be with family. He was able to establish and run his own business called “Roberts Roofing and Painting”. He was a very loving man and a free spirit. He loved his family and friends, especially his kids. In his free time, he enjoyed drawing, doing tattoos, and smoking good green.

Dakota is survived by his mother, Nikki Smothers, step father, Chris Combs, 2 sisters, Darian (Dylan Harper) Smothers and Ariel (Brickland Thompson) Smith, 2 brothers, Donnovan and Tristian Combs, 1 uncle, Shawn (Melissa Kovach) Smothers, his 3 children, Taiylor Fowler, Rileigh and Rowdy Roberts, 7 nieces and nephews, and many more friends and family who will miss him deeply.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rowdy Smothers, the mother of his children, Cherokee Smith, and his maternal grandmother, Anna Martin.
