Daniel Ray Burns

Daniel Ray “Danny” Burns, age 86 of Marion, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, September 26, 2020. He was born on January 4, 1934 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by 3 siblings: James, Joseph, and Darrel.

He is survived by Esther, his wife of 53 years; his son Rick (Stephanie) Burns; 2 grandfurbabies; and many nieces and nephews.

Daniel proudly served as a US Marine from 1950 to 1953, during the Korean War.

He loved being outside and tending to his yard, and after working for the Whirlpool Corporation for 30 years, he even began his own landscaping business that he worked at until he became ill.

Pursuant to his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 9 am at Marion Cemetery.
