Daniel Lee Parks

Daniel Lee Parks, age 38 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly due to complications of diabetes on, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at his residence.

Daniel was born on January 14, 1984, to Fred Parks, Jr., and Katherine (Hunt) Ellington in Marion, Ohio. He graduated from Harding High School in 2002.

Daniel worked as a CNC machinist from Power Plant Solutions. He also loved being outdoors. Family and friends will truly miss Daniel.

Those who will cherish Daniel’s memories include his father: Fred (Phyllis) Parks, Jr. of Caledonia, Ohio; his mother: Katherine Hunt-Ellington of Marion, Ohio, Grandmother Parks; his brother: David Parks of Marion, Ohio; and his step-sister; Anna (Ryan) Knipp of Delaware, Ohio, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family may come to honor Daniel’s life on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 11am to 1pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Marion Cemetery. Donations can be given to the Marion Area Humane Society, 2264 Richland Road, Marion, Ohio 43302. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Parks family.
