Darlene (Friend, Kidd) Endicott, of Marion, Ohio, went to meet her Lord on May 14, 2025, at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital.
Darlene was born on January 21, 1937, a daughter of the late Elroy Friend Sr. and Dorothy (Barnhart, Friend) Blagg. She was preceded in death by husbands Donald Ray Kidd and Otto Endicott.
She is survived by two daughters: Donna Kidd Tiller and Teri Jo (Chris) Endicott Faust. She is also Survived by are two sisters: Janice (Kenny) Friend Severt and Reba Friend Layne.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Earl, Franklin, Elroy Jr., John, Clarence, Everett, Danny, and Kenny Friend, and her sisters: Mary Friend and Hester (Friend) Straight.
Darlene has four grandchildren: Darla Tiller, Darrell (Shelly) Tiller, Christopher (Nicole) Faust, and Caitlin (Cord) Faust Missimer.
She has 10 great grandchildren: Aven, Shelby, Lauren, MacKenzie, Kara, Treyden, Syrus, Kanyon, Crew, and Otto.
Great great grandchildren numbered seven: Nolan, Zayven, Amelia, LoLita, Annavelia, Breahlynn, and Vera.
Darlene was retired from Marion General Hospital, where she worked as a Nurse Tech. She loved to crochet Afghans; she made many baby blankets for her grandchildren. She was deeply loved by all her brothers and sister – in – laws, and her many nieces and nephews. Family was important to her; she loved spending whatever time she could with them. She was also known for her lovely flower gardens. She was a long-standing member of the First Freewill Baptist Church on Crissinger Road in Marion, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held at Boyd Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia Street, Marion, Ohio, with Reverand Brent Layne officiating.
Calling hours will be from 12 to 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home on May 22, 2025, with the funeral service following. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made out to Compasses Hospice.
