Delbert "Del" R. Hamm

     Delbert R. “Del” Hamm, age 82, of Marion, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 1:15 AM at his residence. He was born in Marion, Ohio on October 21, 1941 to the late Sylvan and Dorothy (Shonk) Hamm. Del married the former Sharon E. Sigler on May 28, 1961 in the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Marion,Ohio and she survives.

     Also surviving are a daughter, Deborah (Rusty) Walper of Marion, OH., a brother, Donald Hamm of Marion, OH., two granddaughters, Teri (Matt) Shipley & Sarah (Braydon) Ansel, and five great grandchildren. Del was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan & Dorothy Hamm, two sons, Larry & Doug Hamm, and two brothers, John & Dennis Hamm.

     Del was a past member of the Y-Mens Service Club and worked for many years at Wolohan’s Lumber Co. and Hayes Glass as a sales person before his retirement in 2003. He was a lifelong resident of Marion. Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 PM in the Grand Prairie Cemetery with Pastor Steve Cassidy officiating. Contributions in Del’s name may be made to Marca Industries.
