Delores L. Lohr

Delores Louise Lohr, age 96 of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at her home. She was born on May 24, 1927 in Marion to the late Sherman and Gertrude (Reeves) Swearingen.

Delores grew up in Marion but moved to the Atlanta area in 1963, due to her husband’s transfer.  She retired from the Clayton County Public School system, where she had worked as a cook, and then a cashier.  After retirement, she enjoyed world travel and belonged to several travel groups.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frances X. Lohr, daughter Lorraine Anne Lohr, and daughter-in-law Sharon Lohr.  She is survived by sons Mark Lohr, Tim Lohr and his wife Theresa, and daughter Lisa Lohr and her husband Jesus Aquino, as well as four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Marion.
