Diana Sue Smith

Diana Sue Smith, 64, of Marion, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at the Marion General Hospital, on May 12, 2022. Diana was born October 20, 1957, to the late Norma J. (Higley) and Jack E. Orr of Marion.
She married the love of her life, Daniel Smith, on December 3, 1977.
   She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Daniel. As well as their children: Tracy (Matthew) Johnson, Kristy (Curtis) Wilson, Dane (Darla Tiller) Smith, and Brandi Smith, of Marion. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Austin, Aiden, Alexis, Lane, and Kinley.
   Diana worked at Whirlpool for 40 years in the assembly department. She had many friends throughout her years there. Diana also loved her cats and dogs. In her free time, she liked to collect antiques of any
kind.
   Diana is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Norma Orr.
   Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. The funeral service will also be held at the Boyd Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Joel Fetter officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Marion Cemetery.
