Diana Lee Williams, age 82 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. On July 19, 1939, she was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, to the late Lester and Elaine (Baker) Garver, and on June 8, 1976, she married her beloved husband, James Williams.
Diana was a fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Ohio State Buckeyes, but above all, she was a proud homemaker who loved nothing more than taking care of her family.
She is survived by her husband James Williams; her son Bret (Karen) Slane; her brother Joe (Mary Lou) Garver; her granddaughter Hannah Slane; and her cousins Linda McGlothlin and Mike and Linda Cross.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Elaine; her son Brad Slane; and her granddaughter Lauren Slane.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10 am at Marion Cemetery with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital or to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
