Dorothy Mae Thomas

Dorothy Mae Thomas, age 83 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at her son and wife's home in Marion.

Dorothy was born on July 10, 1940 to George and Icea Laverne (Rosen) Kibler in Bucyrus, Ohio.  On August 24, 1974, she married the late Mervin “Muggs” Thomas.

Dorothy retired from McDonald’s after working for 25 years.  She enjoyed playing Nintendo Mario games, playing cards and puzzles.  She loved her pictures of her family and spending time with family and friends.  She will be missed by family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her children: George (Tammy) Thomas of Marion, Ohio, Jackie Gibson of Marion, Ohio, Joyce Craft of Marion, Ohio, Warren Hetrick of Marion, Ohio, Mervin Thomas of Marion, Ohio, her twenty-nine grandchildren, her seventy-five great grandchildren and five great great children; her sister, Dee Neumann of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mervin “Muggs” Thomas; her daughter, Kathy Tangen; her two brothers and one sister.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 11am to 1pm at Boyd Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 starting at 1pm at the funeral home.  A burial will follow funeral service at Prospect Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Dorothy’s memory to: American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 and/or American Cancer Association, P.O.
