Edith "Helen" Lore

Edith “Helen” Lore, age 83 of Flagler Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Advent Health Hospice in Palm Coast, FL.

Helen was born on May 4, 1938 to the late Harrison and Osie (Bartley) Stalker in Pike County, KY.  On November 27, 1959, she married the late Paul Eugene “Gene” Lore in Clintwood, VA. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage.

Helen attended the Grace Baptist Church in Marion, Ohio. She loved making quilts for family and friends. Helen will truly be missed by family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Murline Stalker and Florine Stacey; and her brothers: Clyde Stalker and Bill Stalker.

Those who will cherish her memories include her sons: Duane Lore and special friend, Julie Sabin, of Marysville, OH and Daryl (Marsha) Lore of Palm Coast, FL; her grandchildren: Derek (Tara) Lore of Marysville, OH and Jessica (David) Adams of Hampton, VA; her three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; her sisters: Bessie Lou (Tommy) Belcher of Mt. Sterling, KY and Pearlie Stalker of Mt. Sterling, KY; her brother: Elster Stalker of Elkhorn City, KY; her great grandson: Ethan Adams of Hampton, VA; her sister-in-law: Sadie Stalker of Pike County, KY; step-daughter Beverly Pearson of Fort Worth, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on September 3, 2021 at 1 pm with Pastor Nick Worden and Pastor Bill Middleton officiating at the Grand Prairie Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Helen’s memory to the Grace Baptist Church, 1560 Marion-Marysville Rd, Marion, Ohio 43302.
