Elfriede VonKaenel

     Elfriede VonKaenel, age 95, of Marion went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 11:47 AM from her residence. She was born in Germany on July 17, 1928 to the late Martin and Hulda (Kelbert) Erstling. Elfriede married Heinz A. VonKaenel on October 1, 1948 and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2002 in Marion, Ohio.

 The lifelong homemaker is survived by 2 sons, Axel (Anita) VonKaenel of Marion, OH. & Alex (Michelle) VonKaenel of Ashley, OH., a sister, Ali Brandt of Cologne, Germany, 4 grandchildren, Dr. Douglas (Allison) VonKaenel, Mark (Kaiti) VonKaenel, Kate (Jesse) Rostorfor, & Carla (Jonathen) Omaraie, and 10 great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Elfriede was preceded in death by 2 brothers & 2 sisters.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM following the visitation. Pastor David Rush will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Marion Cemetery.
