Elsie Hall Obituary

     Elsie Imogene Hall, age 85, of Marion went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 9:52 AM from her home surrounded by her daughters and grandson. She was born in Helechawa, Kentucky on November 14, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert Issac and Minnie Lou (Hall) Dunn. She married Frank E. Hall on September 25, 1971 in Marion, OH. and he preceded her in death on August 28, 2005 in Marion.   

     Elsie started her journey in humble beginnings to living a full and bountiful life. She dedicated her life to caring and loving unconditionally her 3 daughters and 1 very special grandson. Being a mother and grandmother was the highlight of her life and that in turn rolled into babysitting and impacting over 50 children’s lives for almost 50 years which created endearing friendships with their families that continues to this day. The family spent yearly vacations at Lake Erie and Cedar Point. In 1988, they purchased a cottage on Catawba Island for the family to enjoy and spend summers which they continue to cherish to this day. After Frank’s passing, Elsie traveled the world with many special friends and family. Elsie is survived by 3 daughters, Christel Brenner of Marion, OH., Rebecca Needham of Marion, OH., & Michelle Brenner of Columbus, OH., a grandson, Derik (Tiffany) Patton of Port Clinton, OH., a brother, Jerry (Janet) Dunn of Marion, OH., and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Elsie was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel Needham, her sister, Wynona Dunn and 2 brothers, Rufus & Bobby Dunn.

     Elsie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She spent many hours volunteering at the Marion General Hospital and the Palace Theatre. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the St. Mary Catholic Church. Her family will be receiving friends starting at 9:30 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Elsie's memory to: St. Mary's Catholic Church of Marion, Ohio and/or Tranquility Hospice Memorial Fund.
