Forest Montgomery Muscarello, 17, of Laurelville, OH, passed away on February 10, 2025, near his home. Born on April 25, 2007, he was welcomed into this world at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, by his mother Amy Cole Brubaker and biological father Troy Hynus. Before he was even one year old, a wonderful caring man, named Roger Muscarello took Forest into his arms, raised him as his very own, and gave him his last name. Forest was baptized into the Roman-Catholic faith on May 8, 2011, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Pickerington, Ohio, and received his First Communion at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Delaware, Ohio. Forest began his education at the Seton Parish Preschool and Toll Gate Elementary School. He attended Buckeye Valley East Elementary school before relocating to Laurelville, Ohio. He was enrolled in the Logan Elm School District and most recently attended Logan Elm High School and Pickaway-Ross Career Center where he studied Culinary Arts. He worked at Buffalo Wild Wings (Circleville) as a cook and Mam’s Rusty Skillet (Laurelville). He was a true foodie. Completing the D.A.R.E program at Salt Creek Intermediate School, acting, making impressions, attending Homecoming, Prom, and handing out Halloween Candy to younger students were some of his favorite things to do at school. When he was not at school, he was tinkering with anything that fascinated him. He loved Transformers and acquired quite a collection of them. He enjoyed model trains and r/c cars. His fascination for History was unmatched. He was an avid gamer and enjoyed anything sci-fi or anime related. Forest also had a side for adventure. He owned his own Kayak, and loved to go camping, fishing, swimming, or hiking. He loved his family very much and enjoyed going on trips all over the United States with them and spending quality time with each of them. He was a considerate and meticulous individual, known for his ability to connect with others effortlessly. His attention to detail and personable nature made him a true people person.
Forest is preceded in death by his grandparents; Larney and Phyllis Cole.
Left to cherish his memories is his father; Roger Muscarello, mother; Amy (step-father William) Brubaker, grandparents; Salvatore and Bernice Muscarello, his brothers; Anthony Muscarello, Cole (Briana) Trawick-Hynus, Jacob Brubaker, sister, Natalie Muscarello, his uncles and aunts; Michael (Carol) Cole, Eric (Dina) Cole, Jennifer (Ray) Kovach, Lauren Huntzinger, Philip (Roshnie) Muscarello, Dominic (Lynn) Muscarello, Michael (Susan) Muscarello, Nancy (Rob) Ekland, his nephew; Judah Muscarello, and numerous Great Aunts, Uncles and awesome Cousins and other loved ones.
Forest’s family invites loved ones and friends to a Celebration of Life at Boyd Funeral Home in Marion, Ohio, on February 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be a funeral mass at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Circleville, Ohio, on February 26, 2025, at 3 p.m.
