Frances L. (Seiter) Mahaffey

Frances L. (Seiter) Mahaffey, age 101, of Marion, Ohio, passed away December 11, 2024, at her residence. Frances was born November 20, 1923, to the late Carl and Edna (Tobey) Seiter, at home in Marion, Ohio.

Frances was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She worked as a supervisor at FCA for over 30 years. Frances enjoyed shopping with her daughter, Fred’s ice cream, and both baking and cooking. Prior to her husband’s passing, camping was her favorite past time. The two started in a tent and over the years improved their gear until they had their own motorhome. As she got older, her favorite thing to do was keep tabs on her family through social media.

Frances is preceded in death by sons, Larry (Janie) and Ronnie (Bonnie) Mahaffey, daughter, Sharon (Richard) Farst, brothers, Donald and Paul Seiter, and sister, Kate Hillis.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rick (Karen Schrote, DCD) Mahaffey, along with numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Tranquility Hospice staff as well as Joyce’s Angels, Marge, Susan, Carole, Amanda, Misty, Bonnie, and Janet.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation of Frances on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 3pm to 5pm at the Boyd Funeral Home with the funeral service starting at 5pm with Rev. Jennifer Bass officiating. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Frances L. Mahaffey in their time of mourning.
