Frieda Eckard Obituary
Frieda Mae Eckard, age 75 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Marion General Hospital. On November 1, 1943, she was born to the late Roy and Opal (Malone) Blair, and on December 17, 1960, she married her late husband Thomas "Tom" L. Eckard.
Frieda was a proud homemaker, and she took excellent care of her home and her family. She also loved to feed wild squirrels, and she worked briefly at Dixie Cream Donuts.
She is survived by her sons Mark (Carol) Eckard and Teddy Eckard; her brothers Leo Blair, Tim (Peg) Blair, and Dewayne Blair; her grandchildren Brandon (Lindsay) Eckard, Brooke (Chris) Hook, Ashley Eckard, Zachary Eckard, and Josh Eckard; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Eckard; her brothers Kenny, Leroy, Bob, and Jimmy Blair; and her sisters Rose Christian, Shirley Waddell, and Janice Johnson.
Family and friends may gather to honor her memory on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home.
