Harold D. Mullins

Harold D. Mullins, age 86 of Marion, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. On August 23, 1937, he was born in Wise County, Virginia, to the late Cassie and Nineva (Calley) Mullins, and on November 26, 1958, he married the love of his life, Dorothy (Dotson).

Harold worked as a pipefitter and later supervisor for many years, and he was an ordained minister. He enjoyed fishing, church, and playing cards.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa Adams; his son Christopher (Peggy) Mullins; his sister Jewell Phipps; his grandchildren Amber (Chris) Mullins, Chelsey (Nathaniel) Sharp, Eric Mullins, Justin Mullins, Josh (Kelly) Adams, Jake (Chelsea) Adams, and Joelle (Michael) Honaker; and his great-grandchildren Bexleigh Adams, Cora Honaker, Madelyn Sharp, and baby Samuel Adams on the way.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mullins; his son Rickey Mullins; his parents Cassie and Nineva Mullins; and his sisters Alleen Stone, Florence Mullins, Betty Mullins, Dorothy Dotson, Arbutus Mullins, Sue Fernando, and Jenny Mullins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10 am at Good Faith Baptist Church, 706 E. Mark St., Marion. Burial will follow at Caledonia Cemetery.
