Harriet Evans Obituary

Harriet Ann Evans passed from this life into the arms of her loving heavenly Father on
July 28, 2025, from her residence at Kingston with her husband and three of her
children by her side.
Harriet Ann Evans was born on June 5, 1942, as Harriet Ann Moody, the second child of
the late George and Verlie (Queen) Moody in Princeton, Virginia. The family moved to
Detroit Michigan when Harriet, hereafter called Ann, was a young child.
Ann attended Darby High School in Detroit,
Ann married Troy Irvin Roberts on March 16, 1963. Troy already had three children with
the late Sarah (Payton) Roberts: Patty, Dianna and Thomas Roberts.
Ann had a daughter whose name was Kimberly Giglio.
Together, Troy and Ann had five more children: Timothy, Tony, James, Shelly and
Thomas Roberts.
Ann was preceded in death by both parents, a brother, Ted (Thelma) Moody, a
stepmother, Dolly Moody, three grandchildren: Johnny Roberts, Steve Lilley and Sylvia
Roberts, one great granddaughter, and two stepdaughters: Patty (Daniel) Fannon and
Dianna Roberts.
Ann is survived by her children: Kimberly (Alan) Ford of Salem, Ohio, Timothy (Julie)
Roberts of Indiantown, Florida, Tony (Teresa) Robert of Marion, Ohio, James (Sharon)
Roberts of Marion, Ohio, Shelly (Gary) Travis of Marion, Ohio and Thomas (Dorsey)
Roberts of Marion Ohio, and her stepson Thomas (Rachel) Roberts of Newark, Ohio.
Ann is also survived by her paternal half siblings Thomas (Karen) Moody and her sister
Karen (Moody) Gniewek.
Ann had twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren and six great-great
grandchildren.
About her marriage on July 13, 2019, Ann, in writing her own obituary wrote, “I married
the most wonderful man, Clifford Evans, who has blessed me with a wonderful life. Love
you, Cliff. I have been truly blessed with my family and blended family.”
Ann is also survived by Cliff’s two children, three stepchildren and more step-
grandchildren.

Ann will be greatly missed for her loving outreach to those around her who were hurting
or in need. She was always willing to help wherever she could and gave generously of
her time and resources.
