Harvey W. Erlewine

     Harvey W. Erlewine, age 69, of Marion, Ohio went to be with his Lord on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 1:10 AM from the Marion General Hospital. He was born in Mason, West Virginia on February 25, 1954 to the late Harry and Verna Erlewine. Harvey served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of Am. Legion Post 888 and the Marion Senior Citizens. Harvey was an avid reader, sometimes reading as many as 20 books a month. He was employed for over 40 years with the Whirlpool Corp. before retiring from the paint department in 2016.

     Harvey married the former Barbara S. Woods on May 26, 1995 in Marion and she survives.  He is also survived by 3 sons, Steven Jason Ramsey of Caledonia, OH., Chad Ramsey of Georgia, & Jason Collins of New Bloomington, OH., a brother, Howard Erlewine of Marion, OH., 2 brother-in-laws, Robert Woods of The Phillipines, & Ron (Carla) Woods of LaRue, OH., 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces & nephews. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, J.R. Erlewine and a sister, Hazel Blanche Erlewine-Petterson.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. Pastor Tom Beckel will be officiating with burial to follow in the Meeker Cemetery .Donations in Harvey’s name may be made to the Shriner’s Organization or to St. Jude’s Hospital.
