Harvey Paul “Buddy” Lust went to be with the Lord on April 10th, 2026.
Born on Dec. 14th, 1962, Buddy was a lifelong resident of Marion. He joined the US Army at 17 years of age and always felt that changed the trajectory of his life. He spent over two decades at Kable Fulfillment while teaching himself computer programming. He was an athlete and a lover of sports. He coached several youth leagues in Marion and was a dedicated commissioner of his MFFL for over thirty years. As a proud baptized Christian, strong in faith, he was “God fearing and God loving.” Above all, Buddy was a cherished friend and family man.
Harvey is survived by beloved wife of 42 years, Janice (Dyer), son Paul Wesley (Destiny) Lust, foster son Damion “DJ” Gilbert, Mother Bonnie Carr, sister Sharon Jordan, brother Danny Lust, sister-in-law Lisa Castle, sister-in-law Tina Lust, mother-in-law Faye Dyer, grandchildren Marcus and Weslyn, and many nieces and nephews whom he adored.
He is met in Heaven by stepfather Floyd Carr, godmother Helen Rhinehart, brother Jimmy “Cricket” Lust, brother-in-law Herb Jordan, sister-in-law Della Gibson, father-in-law Dean Dyer, and niece Melissa Lust.
The family of Harvey Lust wishes to extend a special, heartfelt thanks to Fresenius Kidney Care for ten years of exceptional care, Dr. Naseer Chaudry for twenty years of dedicated care and friendship, Dr. Michael McCleese and countless others who have cared for Harvey for many years. He loved you all tremendously.
The family will receive friends and family at Boyd Funeral Home of Marion on Saturday April 18th from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm with funeral services to immediately follow.
