Hugh Houston Norris

Hugh Houston Norris, age 78 of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 1, 2023 at his home.

Hugh was born on January 22, 1945 to the late John Henry and Barbara Mary (Bingham) Norris in Marion, Ohio. On July 2, 1966, he married the love of his life, Linda June McKee in Marion, Ohio in the St. Mary Catholic Church.

Hugh served his country in the United States Army. He has the pleasure of serving the Marion Community by owning and operating Pop Wylies Services for 57 years. He will truly be missed by family and friends.

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Norris and his sisters: Camille Coleman and Priscilla Horn.

Those who will cherish his memories include his wife of 57 years, Linda June Norris of Marion, Ohio; his children: Stephen (Teri) Norris of Marion, Ohio and Karen (Tony) Reynolds of Ashville, Alabama; his brothers: “Jack” (Marianne) Norris of Lima, Ohio and George (Joan) Norris of Marion, Ohio; his three grandchildren: Mason, Colton and Tatem; his great grandchild, Theodora.

Friends and family may come to honor Hugh’s life from 11am to 2pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Boyd Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow starting at 2pm at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. A burial will follow the funeral service at Waldo Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Hugh’s memory to: the Steve Young Memorial Lodge. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Norris family.
