Ida Lois Bentley, age 78 of Marion, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Presidential Post Acute. She was born on February 25, 1945, in Hollybush, Kentucky, to the late Bruce and Cressa (Huff) Caudill, and on May 9, 1964, she married her late husband, Ervin Dean Bentley.
Ida was a lifelong homemaker and mother to all. She was a proud member of Word of Life Christian Center and enjoyed donating baked goods for TV39’s auctions to support their programming. You never had to ask her what she thought about something because she would let you know how she felt. Her greatest pleasure in life was being a grandmother and spoiling her grandchildren. She was one of the most compassionate people you could ever meet, she would help anyone who needed it.
She is survived by her son Michael (Vicky) Bentley; her daughter-in-law Dee (Peffers) Bentley; her brother Grover (Anita) Caudill; her sisters Betty (Frank) Klutz, Tina (Tom) Glosser, and Penny (Rob) Amrine; her grandchildren Matthew (Michelle) Smith, Edward (Megan) Smith, Seattle Bentley, and Grey Bentley; and her great-grandchildren Scott Smith, Austin Smith, Danielle Smith, and Addison Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin Dean Bentley; her son Charles Edward Bentley; her parents Bruce and Cressa Caudill; and her brothers Randall Caudill, Ancil Caudill, and Bruce Jr. Caudill.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Boyd Funeral Home. Services will take place at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
