James Michael Caldwell

It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of James “Mike” Caldwell on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on June 7, 1957, in Bucyrus, OH to the Late James Casper and Shirley Baker Caldwell.

Mike Caldwell Patriotically served in the United States Army from 1977 to 1981. Mike worked for the Whirlpool Corporation from 1983 until his retirement on Aug 31, 2022. Mike was known for his love of gadgets, clocks and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. Many know him for his accomplished bowling hobby. Mike was also able to achieve his life-long dream of owning a Corvette before his passing. Mike was a dedicated father to his six children.

Mike is survived by his children Gary (Christy) Caldwell, Dustin Caldwell, Haley M. Caldwell, Joshua (Chelsea Persinger) Caldwell, Jessica (John Diamond) Caldwell and Marcus (Haley E.) Caldwell. 7 grandchildren (Oceana, Jameson, Lilly, Killian, Brinlee, Abel, and Cooper. His sister Victoria (Martin) Wells Caldwell and brother Herbert (Brenda) Caldwell. Along with many other dear friends and family to include his best friend Ed Wells and his wife Vicky and his dog Jake.

He is preceded in death by grandson Emilio and his parents James Casper & Shirley Ann (Baker) Caldwell.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation for James “Mike” Caldwell on May 30, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Boyd Funeral home with the funeral service for Mike taking place following the visitation on May 30, 2025 at 2 p.m. also at the Boyd Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Harrison Officiating. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting Mike’s family in their time of mourning.
