James Richard Christian

     James Richard Christian, age 87, of Marion passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Marion, Ohio on April 20, 1937, the son of the late Louie and Thelma Eleanor (Hill) Christian. Jim married the former Carol Pine on June 5, 1959 in Kirkpatrick, Ohio and she survives in Marion. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed for 38 years at HPM in the maintenance dept. before his retirement in1999.

     Jim is survived by his wife, Carol, a son, Robert Christian of Marion, OH., a daughter, Melody Christian of Mt. Vernon, OH., a brother, Harry Christian of Menomenee, WI., three sisters, Bertie Craycraft, Peggy Jenkins, & Melinda Mead all of Marion, OH., 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Christian, and three brothers, David, LeRoy, & John Christian.

     A memorial service will be held in the Kirkpatrick Church of Christ, Kirkpatrick, Ohio on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:30 PM to celebrate Jim’s life. Rev. John Kelley will be officiating. Contributions in Jim’s name may be made to the Kirkpatrick Church of Christ.
