James Russell Ramey, Jr.

James Russell Ramey, Jr, age 51 of Marion, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at a Hospital in Toledo, Ohio.

Jimmy was born on April 6, 1972 to James Russell and Naomi Faye (Flowers) Ramey in Marion, Ohio.

Jimmy graduated from River Valley High School. He worked in the Paint Department for Honda for a few years. He enjoyed bowling and was a self-styled artist, but he loved wrestling. His cousin and him went to a wrestling match in Mansfield and after the match outside one wrestler threw another wrestler on Jimmy's car and dented it. Jimmy also loved dogs and really missed all of them. He will be missed by family and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Ramey and his aunts: Donna Ruth Meade and Catherine L. Meade; and his uncles Jean and Donald Flowers.

Those who will cherish his memories include his father, James Russell Ramey, Sr of Columbus, Ohio; his sister Karen F. (Ray Shepherd) Ramey of Marion, Ohio; his aunt, Carol Ann Flowers of Marion, Ohio and his nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may come to honor his life on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 11am to 12pm at Boyd Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow starting at 12pm at the funeral home. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Ramey family.
