James Howard White

James Howard White, age 58, of Marion passed away at Marion General Hospital on November 11, 2025. James was born in Marion, to the late Clayton and Marguerite (Millisor) White on February 9, 1967. On November 15, 1996, James would marry the love of his life Christine Hendel, and they would remain together until his passing.

James loved to go camping with at TP Campground in Upper Sandusky, being he favorite place to go camping. He loved to play cornhole, and was very good at it. James also liked to tinker on anything that had an engine. James’ love for working on engines led him to start his own engine repair business the “White Small Engine Repair Service.” James loved to eat food and loved to go to “Chi-Chi’s before they closed, as well as finding any hole in the wall restaurants that he could. James will be remembered most for being a loving grandfather and an outstanding father and husband. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 584.

Left to cherish the memory of James are, Wife, Christine Hendel White, son, Levi Hendel, brother, Warren (Deanna) White, sisters, Patricia (Bud Higgins), and Kelly (David Shocky) White, grandchildren, LaVaea, Joseph, and Lennox Hendel, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by, Sister Teresa (Tim Houseworth) White, and granddaughter Leighonna Christine Nicole Hendel.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation of James on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Boyd Funeral Home from 11am until 1pm. The funeral service for James will start at 1pm with Pastor Jerry Copley officiating. The committal service will take place at the Caledonia Cemetery immediately following the funeral procession. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donation be made to the Marion Humane Society in James’ honor. The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of James Howard White in their time of mourning.

Everyone is welcome to go to the Legion Post 584 after the service for a luncheon. Please bring a covered dish. People are able to drop the food off prior to the funeral service.
