James “Ozzy” Edward Nolan, age 83, passed away unexpectedly in his home December 7, 2024, in Marion, Ohio. He was born to the late William and Helen Nolan in Newcomerstown, Ohio, in 1941. After attending school, he joined the Army, where he served for several years and attained the rank of Sergeant. Jim retired from Audsam Printing. After his retirement, he became quite the chatterbox with his neighbors, enjoying coffee with them in the evening on “The Hill”. James enjoyed many sports, but he lived for The Ohio State Buckeyes and The Cleveland Indians.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Nolan, his wife, Dortha “Dottie” (Kuenzli) Nolan, his brothers, Eugene “Beanie” and William “Dick” Nolan, his sisters, Marjorie “Boggie” Yanai, Ilona “Lee” Thibaut, and Shirley Parker and three infant sisters.
He leaves behind his daughter, Kelli Nolan. Funeral services have not been scheduled at this time. Boyd Funeral Home is honored to help the Nolan family in their time of need.
