Jeanette Marie Dickerson

Jeanette Marie Dickerson, age 71 of Marion, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Jeanette was born on January 26, 1950 to the late Robert and Louelle (Darrnel) Daso of Marion, Ohio.  On October 14, 1979, she married the late Jesse L. Dickerson.

Jeanette worked for 10 years as a maintenance worker for the Ohio State University.  She belonged to the Good Faith Baptist Church.  Also, she belonged to American Legion Post# 162, Marion Moose Lodge# 889 and VFW Post# 7201.  Jeanette liked going to yard sales and antique stores.  She loved spending time with her family.  She took care of all of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.  Jeanette will be missed by family and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Jesse Dickerson; her step-son Charles Dickerson; her brother: Timothy Daso; her sisters: Carolyn Gattshall and Dejon Martin; and her special niece: Sharon King.

Those who will cherish her memories include her brother: Eugene Daso of Marion, Ohio; her special niece: Kathy (Stacy Henderson) Henderson-Copley of Bucyrus, Ohio; her special nephew: Ken (Renee) Gattshall of Cardington, Ohio; her four great nieces: Nicole, Tiffany and Shannon King and Emily Gattshall; her one great nephew: Faron (Dorothy) Copley, Jr.; her step-children Carlotta (Raymond) Jones and Valeria (Doug) Ackerman of Marion; her several step grandchildren and her one special step grandchild: Nicholas Dewitt.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 starting at 11:30am at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens with Pastor Barkley Slone officiating.  Donations may be given to the Boyd Funeral Home to assist with expenses.  The Boyd Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Dickerson family.
